Protest against Brexit

 

 

These pictures are from some of the major protests against Brexit starting with the first one just weeks after the referendum where the UK voted to leave the European Union on a very narrow majority. The loss of EU membership has been a particular issue for the creative industries with music badly affected. As a photographer, it is no longer cost effective for me to accept an assignment on mainland Europe because of issues around work permits, equipment movement and insurance.

These pictures show many of the bigger marches in London and Leeds and the creativity of the placards and the warmth of of the protesters. The floats were made by sculptor and illustrator Jacques Tilly.
