Two pictures of Benjamin Zephaniah shot in the dressing room come office at the Hackney Empire, London in 1987 just before he went on stage. We sadly lost him in December 2023.

On his website, he describes himself as a "Poet, writer, lyricist, musician and naughty boy", he doesn't list that he was a huge inspiration to many people and a political constant right through his life.
