Beasts - wild animals from the "...of the World" series of books

 

 

The pictures here are from a series of books I shot working with the writer David Alderton. Most of the pictures are also available on Alamy.

Many of the pictures, particular those of the smaller cat specis, were hard to organise and images of these animals are fairly rare including the Black Footed cat, which has the highest kill rate of any members of the cat family. Each of the books took around 12 months to shoot.

Photographing animals and being able to get so close to them is a huge privilege.
